Ben Dova, born in Strasbourg as Joseph Späh (1905 – 1986) was an acrobat and contorsionist in vaudeville shows.
His famous show was “convivial inebriate”. In 1933 he brought his act to the skyscrapers, where he staggered about on top of the Chanin Building, at the corner of Lexington Avenue.
There were no nets, no wires and no camera tricks involved.
